Mortal Kombat 1: Homelander actor will not voice the character in the game

A small shower of cold water for fans of The Boys who are anxiously awaiting the entry of Homelander (Captain Homeland) in Mortal Kombat 1 : the villain will not be voiced by the series' actor, Antony Starr. A shame, considering that his performance in the character is one of the highlights of the Amazon series.

Responding to a fan on social media, he revealed that he was not cast in this. “No,” Starr said when asked by internet user vaguelyokay.

Homelander is part of the first Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack, which also has Omni-Man (Invincible), Peacemaker (DC), Quan-Chi, Ermac and Takeda (these from MK). Omni-Man has even been available since last week.

Mortal Kombat 1 sold almost 3 million copies

Warner Bros Games confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1 has recorded nearly 3 million units sold since launch. The brand consolidates the game's strong reception and places it ahead of its biggest competitor of the year, Street Fighter 6 ( 2.47 million ).

The company's new fiscal report, released last Wednesday (8), announced the game's first sales milestone. With this, the title surpasses the numbers of Mortal Kombat 9, which sold around 1 million copies in one month — and 8 million since 2011.
