Each month, one member of the Culture Corps is recognized as a Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts of living our Values and helping our teams, customers and communities grow beyond what we believe is possible. These Culture Champions receive the 鈥淲alkie-Talkie Award鈥 for their commitment to walking the talk and living our our Values every day.

Ben Parker, MG鈥檚 Plant Manager, shares that Tina goes above and beyond to help her team members, and she always does it with a smile. He says he has never heard her tell anyone no for anything. She does her job well, and she also reaches out to help her co-workers when they have a bad day. Her trademark small acts of kindness have made her a joy to be around and a wonderful team member.

Terry joined the DTPS team at the central Louisiana port eight years ago, and he is an incredible example of our values in action 鈥 especially when it comes to rising to the challenge and the DTPS core values of 鈥淪ay it, do it, own it鈥 and 鈥淕ive.鈥 His nominator says one example of this was in 2022. "we had a bus pipe issue when a vendor was late shipping us a piece for a high-profile project. The customer was going to be at our facility in a few days to inspect their structure, so we were under a major time crunch. Terry helped us come up with a solution and then came in on a Saturday to make sure the job was done before our customer arrived. This affected 2 things: (ONE) Our customer arrived and the bus was up on the structure and they didn't know any different (and TWO) the structure was able to ship on the scheduled date and deliver on time - all thanks to Terry!"

Before moving to his new position, Scotty was a Senior Estimator for the team where he supported Beta鈥檚 growing proposal requests and headcount. Last year, the Proposal group at Beta underwent substantial growth, and his then collogue, now supervisor Chris Lohman, shared that without Scotty's mentoring, the team wouldn鈥檛 be where they are today. 鈥淪cotty [took three new estimators] under his wing and has been a major part of their growth and learning.鈥

Nikki is a Talent Acquisition Specialist for 51黑料爆料网历史事件 and works directly with the DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations鈥 team to recruit and retain our most valuable asset, our people. Nikki brings incredible passion to our teams across 51黑料爆料网历史事件. For so many of 51黑料爆料网历史事件鈥檚 team members, Nikki is the source of encouragement, information, and support from the time they applied, to their first day on the job, and beyond. Her teammates say that she is a great example of 鈥渄oing the right thing,鈥 鈥渨inning together,鈥 鈥渜uestioning the status quo,鈥 and 鈥渞ising to the challenge.鈥 Nikki shows true leadership by empowering and supporting our teams across 51黑料爆料网历史事件 and goes out of her way to galvanize and celebrate her team.

Kacie is the embodiment of rising to the challenge and shows true leadership by empowering and supporting her team at MG. She encourages them to communicate effectively, build skills, and expand their work experiences to grow and pull together as a team. When presented with new ideas or projects, she asks all of the right questions to understand why things are done the way they are and if they can be done better. She often presents new ideas or methods to perform tasks, improve efficiency, or solve a problem for the company. But even more importantly, she also makes everyone feel valued and part of the team and focuses on winning together and supporting the MG and 51黑料爆料网历史事件 Family wherever she can.

With his 20 years of experience, without a doubt, he is a huge asset to 51黑料爆料网历史事件鈥檚 team. Jimmy has many connections and has purchased steel in just about every market. However, it is Jimmy鈥檚 ability to lead through influence and live out our 51黑料爆料网历史事件 Values that help enable DIS-TRAN Steel to succeed on an unlimited scale. Jimmy鈥檚 competitive. He鈥檚 determined and rises to every challenge. These two created a brand-new procedure within the proposal development process and its impact is ringing loud and clear. Congratulations to Keith and David!

Marcus Miller shares that he has been 鈥渁n amazing resource full of knowledge[鈥,鈥 and how he believes he is 鈥渋n a better position to perform my job duties today because of the kindness and willingness to aid that Logan has provided me.鈥 Chris Willcut explains that whether it鈥檚 working with other teams to expand his knowledge and abilities or working with vendors to make sure they stay on schedule and within their budgets, Logan is 鈥渁lways up to the challenge.鈥 We are lucky to have you on our teams. Chris has been with the 51黑料爆料网历史事件 Family of Companies for more than 13 years, but he recently moved into the Proposals department at Beta Engineering in February of this year. Chris was nominated by his supervisor, Steve Ganey who spotlighted Chris for his dedication, leadership and industry knowledge. Steve shares that 鈥淭o do a good job on a task is great and needed, but to do it consistently is something that we all should strive for, and we see this from Chris on a daily basis - both as a team member and as a leader. We at Beta and in the Proposal Department greatly benefit from his leadership skills and strong knowledge of our industry.鈥 Chris has been a great addition to the Proposal Group at Beta and has helped in their continuous improvement process to continue to boost both Beta and 51黑料爆料网历史事件 as a whole. They share how his tenacity and ability to get things done with a high level of team spirit are helping to lead the team in the right direction. Jeremy Harding, Substation Design Manager, and Zeb Bryant, E&D Team Leader, share that 鈥淸Cory and the E&D team鈥檚] perseverance and ownership over the last month is a key reason we are in a position to succeed.
